Over and over and over again, I keep reading editorials promoting a train from Las Vegas to.....drum role please....Victorville! Well hey, they do have a Red Lobster!

I think people should be able to read the writing on the wall here. If these companies need the feds to provide 30 percent construction costs upfront, this tells us that this industry can not really hold itself up financially.

When our family lived in BC, we voted for that green zone around the city so we would not see ugly housing developments muck up the view. Now the view has been sold to energy developers.

It bothers me that the Feds would give all this money away to Spain to destroy our desert, when that same money could have been used to start getting all those bare rooftops in BC fitted with solar panels.

The feds blew it and the green bubble will burst in a couple years after adding another couple of trillion to the debt.

The Democrtas essentially blew it with green energy. Now their days appear to be numbered.

And what do we do? We give the number one terrorist in charge the Nobel Peace Prize!

Let's hope he doesn't show up to the Senate building tomorrow morning in a white sheet.

Really? Obama is making our education system better? Is he doing that under cover? Did I miss something?

Im not too surprise that senator Reid turned out to expose his racism. No coincidence that this is before his election.

Which crook will replace the old crook?

Here's an idea! Take those stalled developments and vacant lots and put solar energy on them! Think about it. The power would be used in Vegas. No ugly, expensive long transmission lines. The land is already disturbed. It would create jobs and provide clean power to Vegas. Whats not to like? Would the people of Vegas think that is ugly? Don't be NIMBYs!

The reason they are not doing it is because most big fly by night solar developers don't want to buy their own land. They want a handout from the Feds and the feds are handing out all the money to bad boys now.

It is still a mystery to me that people have somehow told themselves that Mr. Obama is doing things differently. That stupidity was not only inherited by Obama, he seems to be taking pride in it. He is giving us the same old tired lectures about the terror war, evil and the Taliban. He is telling us to be afraid all of the time so we don't question his agenda. The last guy who did that was called George.

"Renewable energy companies want to fill the state's desert with solar arrays and dot its peaks with wind turbines. They would create hundreds of short-term construction jobs, lease income for cities and the federal government, and emission-free energy"

What a shame that tyhe people who work for the Sun place no value on the beautiful natural resources in their state. Luckily, the propaganda does not reflect the values of most of the people who choose to live in the rural parts of the state. We are not going to let the Las Vegas Sun decide the fate of our beautiful state.

The military seems to be acting like the decisions made for public lands outside their bases belong to them. They do not. These are still public lands.

"who the hell would join the stupid pathetic lying republican party these days...
only l-o-s-e-r-s!!!"

Like a lot of people who have witnessed this democratic process, I am figuring out that the old song by the Who said it the best: "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss". When I look at the military cover ups and lies that are coming out of the Obama team, I am reminded of all the bad things that the Bush team made famous.
