If you represent "the people" to whom we should give back the educational system, I'll pass. It's lamebrains like you who are part of the problem.
Until this most recent editorial, the Sunbelt brain trust had been sticking to the tradition of offering editorials that were nothing more than a string of platitudes. Now they're going way out on a limb...calling for something that most rational citizens have been calling for for months...Gibbo's resignation.
I'm going to try to give Perry Rogers the benefit of the doubt and consider him well intentioned...but that doesn't mean he isn't completely insulated by his wealth. Let's face it, his perspective on quality of life issues is based on such real life problems as the cost of fuel for the private jet.
Sadly, the seemingly only option to Perry's editorials are those of Ms. Peckman, a self-appointed know-it-all of the nth degree.
Viewers need to remember that media ownership isn't some kind of cannonization to sainthood. it's just a business, and consequently is operated for one primary purpose...profit. It's okay to make money...just don't do it under the pretext of bettering our quality of life...that's completely disingenuous.
It's a sad day for Democracy when the likes of her is in such a position.
This is great stuff...one of the more oddly written legal documents I've seen.
"Castaway wife"...sounds like a spinoff of Gilligan's Island, or a new reality show (maybe it should be).
"Succumbed to the seduction of those wiles"..."lust is the real villain" this is the stuff of a cheap romance novel.
"spin doctored press releases"...all that spin doctoring that got you a free rid to the mansion was o.k., but it's not such a good thing now, is it, Dawn?
Maybe Dawn should change her name to "Done"...better yet, maybe they both should.
This is a perfect match, actually. The casinos cash in on people's misery as unhappy throngs try to fill their empty lives...why shouldn't that include the so-called "entertainment" offered by these creeps.
Disney is the evil empire. Stop paying disney to tatoo its brand on your childrens' brains. It's mental junk food in the guise of entertainment.
Take the Fifth?! How about we practice some waterboarding techniques on these guys...
Dude, where's my energy?!
So "tax and spend liberals" are irresponsible, but "spend and pass along the debt" conservatives are o.k.
"Support the troops" is clearly just lipservice for these chickenhawks.
A new GI Bill would be a way to support the troops and provide some meaningful, long-term economic stimulus...but make sure we don't ask anyone to actually pay for it...especially those "small businesses" who are only making $500,000 a year! I make a tenth of that and would gladly pay the extra half-percent if it went to something as useful as a GI Bill.
