The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps is an upstanding group of patriots who refuse to sit around and do nothing, like our government has done, and demands that our existing immigration laws be properly enforced. Within those laws, there is an ample guest worker program that allows for traditional shortcomings of part-time occasional unskilled or semi-skilled labor. There is ample opportunity for permanent and temporary visas. There is a process for immigrants to follow and all we ask is that people follow that process and they will be more than welcome. However, those that don't follow the rules and sneak into the country illegally are guilty of a misdemeanor crime. The very second they obtain false or stolen ID, they are guilty of a felony. By definition, therefore, they are now criminals and nobody wants tens of millions of criminals sneaking into our country, overloading municipal infrastructures, partaking of welfare benefits that are due only to citizens, (they get them fraudulently anyway) while our politicians sit idly by and reap their own benefits - cheap labor and votes. The frustration comes when a vast majority of American Citizens protest this inaction to our leaders, they ignore our words as if never spoken.
One point to remember is that illegal immigration is NOT racial - we have illegal immigrants from nearly any country you want to name, made up of Caucasians, Asians, Middle Easterners, East Indians, Africans and so on. Immigration is simply an issue of Law Enforcement, nothing more, nothing less. No amount of dogma and rhetoric from the likes of the racist hate organization called National Council of La Raza, (The Race) can change that fact. Businessmen who hire these people are the true culprits. Stop the attraction, (Jobs) and you will stop the influx of illegals. Furthermore, they will self-deport as soon as there are no jobs for them.
Use E-Verify before hiring anyone and stop the problem before it becomes worse. If we all work together in this way, we don't need our lazy, self-serving leaders to do it for us.
