It sounds like the Slades are blaming everybody else but themselves. Poor management and no control on spending got them into this mess more than anything. They have always been more concerned about appearances, and once the money started running out the ship started sinking fast. Bad news for the buyers that trusted them and the employees that worked for them that got laid off.
