Also remember that class standing has nothing to do with being an effective advocate. Many a brilliant law student has turned out to be useless in the court room. And judging by the salaries PDs in this county are pulling in... maybe the bottom of the class is the place to be.
"Without" is the operative word here. No parole, no release. No surprise.
No one calls it that because "Frenchman" is a crummy name for a mountain. "Sunrise" is a little shopworn as well, but at least it has a little more flair to it.
There is no constitutional right to health care, but when we see a car full of children get creamed in the intersection in front of us, we don't ask if they have insurance before we call 911. It is a moral imperative to call for help. Morality wasn't institutionalized in the Bill of Rights, but that doesn't mean we are a nation of savages.
I JUST WISH JESUS WOULD COME TO WASHINGTON
As long as he enters the country legally, doesn't need health care, and doesn't cost the tax payers a dime. Same goes for his friends Pedro, Pablo and Juan.
Why would the state drop a count that the jury found him guilty of? If it has no effect on the sentencing, why even make the request?
Even if the State spends money on this program, which is highly unlikely given the anorexic state of the economy and attendant budget cuts, it is money well spent. Warehousing people without an attempt at rehabilitation is pointless. If even a small percentage of inmates leave prison as healthier, more constructive citizens, this program is worth way more than it costs.
I guess we'll find out how much of a spine KTNV has, or if they'll let Jack spin this one for them. Sad.
How are you going to keep the kids at home when the neighborhood kids have C-Span? How much of an impression do you think "Work hard and fulfill your responsibilities" is going to make anyway?
What a hoot!!
