vmanstuff: this information comes from the CDC's annual Behavior Risk Factor Survey System -

Also, I believe the U.S. Census keeps data on insurance access for different age groups -

Hi, goingbust. Thanks for your comment. 89109 does contained a large portion of the Strip, but this graphic only contains information on detached single-family residences. A fresh look at changes in the local condo market is something I hope to work on in the near future.
Thanks to everyone who has offered feedback on this story. After seeing a couple of comments about it here, I thought I would clarify two things about the controlled substance database.
First, the professional boards are largely self-funded -- they do receive some federal grant money throughout the year but take no money from the state of Nevada.
Also, any patient can contact the pharmacy board and request a copy of their personal prescription history in Nevada from the database. If it's something you're interested in, contact information is available on the pharmacy board's Web site: http://bop.nv.gov/

KillerB,
Thanks for your comment. It's pretty simple, really - the U.S. Postal Service returns some surveys to sender as "undeliverable," meaning the homes are probably vacant, and the Census bureau takes this into account when calculating participation rates.
