I am not going to comment this time. The readers seem to be getting it right. I will say that "goingbust" has hit it on the nose. No pun intended. Did you know that airline pilots are allowed to smoke in the cockpit?!?
Would one of you dirt sucking losers explain to me why it is necessary to grow tobacco, make cigarettes, get people addicted to nicotine, and cause heart disease, lung disease, stroke, and sexual dysfunction? What do you get out of it other than satisfying an unhealthy oral fixation?
You like to exercise your constitutional freedom to ruin your health, and via second hand smoke, the health of others? Don't you get it? Tell me what good comes from tobacco use?????? I am listening. Thank you.
hey! ease up on davelv. He hasn't been the same since the lobotomy.
The recession will end. A mind is a terrible thing to waste.
Thank you Mary Manning and the Las Vegas Sun. Thank you for showing a photo of the innocent victim. The late Christopher Privett, is rightfully the main subject of this issue. My sympathy to his family and friends.
Please, please, please ... I don't know how to get high on life (or am too ignorant or lazy to learn). How can I join the Marijuana Policy Project so I can help get it legalized?
Breaking into your house and/or stealing your car should be legalized and taxed, thereby raising $X billion dollars in tax revenues. It only makes sense, it is a win-win situation, let's do it.
If you people had a brain in your head you'd realize that the general principles stated by Dr. Mel Pohl (an expert with 30 years of addiction treatment experience): IT IS A GATEWAY DRUG. GET HIGH ON life.
As for comparing prior alcohol or pot use and drinking milk, your HYPER IGNORANCE is the problem. Really, think about it. Please go back to school.
IQ out
This felon is going to continue to live in premises built with taxpayer dollars, just not on Charleston Peak. The rest of the organization he steals from however, will remain infested with cockroaches for a long time.
What did the Surgeon General tell us 45 years ago? 45 YEARS AGO ! We do not actually need the results of this study, esp. 2-3 years later, to know the risks are real. We are a nation of losers. Only a nation of losers would continue to have 1 out of 5 citizens be a smoker at this point. Face facts, smokers are Dirt Sucking Losers. Buy a pack of cigarettes, light one up, suck the dirt into your lungs.
We are worried about an entire industry going down (the auto industry), or at least one of the Big Three automakers. With the subsequent devasatation from the loss of jobs. Well that is possible because they are not making cars that sell well. Well what is the purpose of planting tobacco so that people can smoke and chew, and ruin their lives and health, and you want to worry about ecomonics, WHAT ABOUT THE COST TO THE NATION IN HEALTHCARE?
What on earth is the reason to smoke other than the fact that one cannot stop because of addiction???????????? Please tell me?????
Life is simple. These tragedies do not occur with the same frequencies in countries with different gun control laws. In many respects the USA is the greatest country on Earth. On the other hand, we are a nation of losers. I have lived for 69 years in this nation without the need for a gun. Turn in your gun for a cell phone so you can pull over and dial 911 and contact a law enforcement officer. 20% smoke in 2009 after the 1964 Surgeon General's Report. Plus we love to drive drunk. Or drive while using a cell phone. Then we pass laws (CA) to ban cell phones while driving after everyone is spoiled by the privilege to yak yak yak about super important issues that just can't wait until we get to a land line.
No guns. No smoking. No alcohol. No cell phones while driving. I have a 100 IQ, and I can figure this out. So I'm telling those of you who cannot figure it out.

Besides the certain percentage of drivers who have poor skills (why do we not require simulator training to obtain a driver license?), why does society allow people to use cell phones while driving when we know it lowers the driver's attention to that of an intoxicated driver???
People who talk on cell phones while driving (oh no! just can't pull over) are of the same intellect as those who do you know what with tobaccco products.
