Nathan Short of St. George was a passenger in a 2001 Hyundai that was traveling northbound about 7:30 a.m. when the driver lost of control, veered onto the right shoulder, rotating back across the northbound lanes, overturned at the center median and came to rest in a southbound lane, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

John "J-Mac" McCarthy was found unresponsive at 5:40 a.m. Sunday on the south driveway of the Flamingo Hotel, Debbie Munch, a spokeswoman for Caesars Entertainment, said in an email statement. McCarthy was transported to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, Munch added.
