Letter to the editor:
We’re hemorrhaging money in Iraq, too
Fri, Sep 26, 2008 (2:04 a.m.)
I watched our fearless lame duck tell us how we will have to work through this mess that Wall Street greed caused.
But never once did he mention the $10 billion that is being bled from this country and spent in Iraq every month. In 10 months, that’s $100 billion. All for a war that never should have happened.
Now, even though the Iraqis have a huge surplus of money, the bleeding doesn’t stop. I pity the next five presidents — they will not be able to accomplish anything because of the debt this administration is leaving behind.
I don’t care whether it is Barack Obama or John McCain. With a debt of up to $11 trillion there won’t be any money to fund anything.

Greed has not only reared its head in Washington and Wall Street but in our own community of Las Vegas. Take a drive down the famous 'strip' and greed is everywhere.... we too will pay the price for greed as tourists will surely begin to avoid us as the resort mecca of the world because of the gauging of tourists that occurs on a daily basis here.
With the next two decades Las Vegas, once world famous, will likely become a ghost town.... it's in the works, just take a look around you!
