Jim Rogers, the chancellor of the Nevada System of Higher Education, has complained that the governor never returns his calls.
Rogers now thinks it may be that Gov. Jim Gibbons has been too busy text-messaging a Reno woman.
“I think you have to understand she’s much better looking than I am,” Rogers said Wednesday. “She’s a lot younger than I am, and she has a hell of a better body than I’ve got. After you get past those attributes, what’s left?”
Seriously, Jim.
“His conduct is so outrageous, and so far out of left field, that anymore it’s just, what’s new? Nothing surprises me anymore.
“I don’t have any way to judge his thinking pattern by my thinking pattern or anybody else’s that I know. He has a set of rules that are his rules, and he seems to live by them, and it appears to me he’s not overly concerned by what anybody thinks. Nothing ever changes.”
When’s the last time you two talked on the phone?
“I’ve never gotten a phone call from him, not once, since he’s been governor. Well, once, I had a conversation with his office about changing a Cabinet meeting time. But I’ve never had a substantive conversation by telephone with him.”
How about text-messaging him?
“It seems to me I’d be better off if I could text him, but I don’t know how.”

Hey Mr. Rogers... Here's Jimbo's text line --- I-800-Love-Gov..... Tell him you are available any time for a one-on-one....
Oh but Guv Jimmy cares so much about the children of our great state. He is our Education Governor. There must be something amiss here. Maybe he can teach a 101 course on thumb texting at all hours of the early morning?
I would LOVE to see Mr. Rogers take the lead in the recall of this idiot in our Carson City Mansion.
How about it Mr. Rogers? You lead, we will follow you on this one!
Maybe Rogers should look closer at the fat in his budget, instead of taking pot shots at the Gov.
Stop whining about your lack of funds and balance your own budget.
We all read how much you recently overpaid for new hires etc... Stop trying to pin that mistake on the Gov's misfortunes and clean up your own house.
All bets on on that the governor will not last a full term in office. With all the allegations multiplying against him along with all the problems with he has encountered with running the state, I would not be surprised that he will be forced to resign.
