Letter to the Editor:
Bush safe in White House as troops die
Wed, Apr 23, 2008 (2:03 a.m.)
Over the weekend the Associated Press reported the following from Baghdad: “Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice mocked anti-American cleric Muqtada al-Sadr as a coward on Sunday, hours after the radical leader threatened to declare war unless U.S. and Iraqi forces end a military crackdown on his followers.”
“I know he’s sitting in Iran,” Ms. Rice said derisively of al-Sadr. “I guess it’s all-out war for everybody but him. I guess that’s the message: His followers can go to their deaths, and he’s in Iran.”
Substitute “the White House” for “Iran,” and Ms. Rice could be talking about her own boss.

Such a sad flail at what is hypocritical on its face.
Would this writer wish former (thank god) President Clinton in place on the ground in Bosnia in the 90s? Will (God help us) the next President Clinton immediately take her place in Iraq, or the next "war / conflict" America might be involved in??
This must be the Sun's "gotta catch up on our Uber-Bush-Bashing" day??
Sadr, whose gunmen target ANYONE in the attack zone (can you say "terrorist") = IS a sad cowardly figure who is supported BY Iran (how does he FEED his people, anyway?) to further enslave the citizenry of Iraq FOR Iran.
The Sun and its sheeple support the enslavement of Iraq, if this sad and weak-gruel letter is one of the BEST it receives.........
The blind Bush-sheep NVMakz has spoken, just as the brain-washed Republican party has taught him. And he drowns on - "I have no mind, lets kill for my greed and the greed of my wealthy friends - must keep power, keep working people at the bottom. Only the wealthy are worthy." Even of 8 years of lies, death, corruption, and greed. I don't khow how you can look at yourself in the mirror.
You again?
Still with no debate points to make. oh-fer-two today? No surprize here.
I chuckle at the vapid bandwidth-waste response that my debate has aroused in the "callers of name only"(mq).
Having nothing BUT name-calling IS the hallmark of the lib-sheeple. You seem to represent them well, "mwh"!
Lol, you again NVMakz, nice to know your a legend in your own mind. Being a loyal subject of King George I wouldnt' expect otherwise.
NVmakz,
I'm assuming by the "enslavement of Iraq" you're referring to Saddam's evil grip on the people of that country before we invaded? Like the gassing of the Kurds?
So, how do you feel about the fact that the Turks have been bombing those same Kurds for the past three months in Northern Iraq while we passively let it happen? Is it OK for our allies, the Turks, to kill Kurds now? Who exactly are we freeing from oppression, the theocratic Islamic Shia fundamentalists who are financed and supported by Iran that we've put into control of Baghdad? The Sunni people who we removed from power?
Or are you speaking of freeing Iraqis from our own sanctions we'd had on them during the Clinton years which starved and killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqis?
Just curious what "enslavement" you feel we are freeing them from.
