Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards highlighted his record fighting for unions in his final appeal to Nevada caucus goers Friday.
Edwards said he's not just "talking the talk" like the front-runners, Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. In recent years he said he's walked picket lines and been in organizing campaigns more than 240 times.
"Nobody will fight for you and the right to organize like I will," Edwards told about 250 cheering supporters at his campaign headquarters.
Edwards also pointed out that he's the only Democrat opposed to nuclear energy -- he says the waste is too dangerous -- and was more bold than in previous speeches in calling out Clinton for taking money from special interests.
"The candidate who's taken the most money from the oil and gas industry is not a Republican, it is a Democrat. It is Senator Clinton. Your friends need to know about that if they're worried about this issue of clean energy."
Edwards said he's the "underdog" against the two $100 million campaigns, but that his is a grass roots movement to change the country.
"Don't look at what we say, look at what we've done," Edwards said. "I've been there over and over and over and I will be there with you when the fight is tough. Every single time I will be with you."

Neither Obama nor Hillary are the candidate of hope and positive change. They are both starting to play dirty tricks. I truly believe that if one or the other were not in the race that John Edwards would be front runner. (I definitely plan to caucus for John Edwards.)
I can see that John Edwards is trying to get his message of positive change for America to the public, while trying to remain civil. It just does not seem to be resonating enough to get past the media preconceptions imprinted upon public opinion.
Wake up America. John Edwards is not the sleeper candidate. Most Americans are still asleep.
Go, Johnny, go!
Caucus for Edwards!! He is action, not just words! The only candidate that doesn't take money from big drug companies, think about it:those drug companies will want something in return. He is true union, walks picket lines. Speaks from his heart!
