Small crane tips over at CityCenter, injures operator and stops traffic on the Strip

A small crane tipped over at the CityCenter construction site, injuring the operator's hand and closing the Las Vegas Strip traffic between Harmon Avenue and Monte Carlo between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. today, said Kevin Chapman of the Clark County Fire Department.

Work was suspended about 1:30 p.m. and traffic was stopped on the Strip.

The injured worker was treated at the scene and released, Chapman said.
