High rate of child sex trafficking in Las Vegas

(via FOX News) · March 26, 2008 · 8:39 AM

A 2007 national report from a non-profit group based out of Vancouver, Wash. called Las Vegas a hub for child sex trafficking Monday.

The 165-page report claimed that in a single month last year, over 400 children were working as prostitutes in the city. According to the group, Las Vegas' 24-hour gambling, over-sexualized entertainment industry and easy access to alcohol and drugs, coupled with a lack of resources for victims, contributed to the problem of sex trafficking minors.

  1. Which group? Being from Seattle I know of one right wing group from Vancouver, WA that will attack any issue that can be thought of as a "wedge". That is exactly what this is. They will claim numbers and issues that are false. Why is the "report" not available to read? Also I could not find this "news article" on any other newspaper sites in CA, OR, WA or in NV.

  2. I agree with the above comment which "group" does the "article" (passed on by Fox 'news') refer to? There was not only a lack of resources for the victims, as were there a lack of sources for the article.
