  1. Obama will bring change and unity to America. The Clintons and all their dirty tricks to deny the vote to Union Workers, will only divide this country. Caucus for Obama.

  2. In a state like Nevada its amazing that more people don't support a candidate that actually introduced a bill into congress (H.R. 3664 - The tax free tips act) that would exempt tips from taxation. Ron Paul introduced that bill, he would do more for lower and middle class Nevadans than any other candidate in either party.
Hillary and Obama support marxist policies, the rest of the republicans are fascists.... Support the only candidate that will defend the constitution.

  3. If you work in a union you should support Hillary, If you Run a union, you vote for Obama. That's the truth.

Obama has an exciting record of not living up to his speeches. Sounds like he's qualified to be president, unless of course you want change.

Stop letting the crooked union bosses intimidate your vote. Is this what Obama supporters want? rigged union elections? Time to stand up for Hillary and all the working class.

  4. I love democrats, elites and commoners, for their great knowledge and humanity.
But a commoner always remember what JFK had to do in Chicago to win a 50-50 election. What LBJ had to do to get the civil right bill through the congress. What Clinton had to do to win 2 election and FDR had to do to win 3 elections. A great human like Gore, Kerry, Mondale, Dukakis never won. A saint like Jimmy Carter got knocked off by a hollywood actor
JFK being a war hero and a man of action in congress for 14 years, had to take the help of Richard Daley to win the election.
Obama is devoid of courage, and accomplishment. He is no JFK.
Obama did not even had the backbone to vote again the Iran resolution, he was absent. He is no JFK, no MLK, no Bobby. he is just a great speech write and gifted speech delivery person.

  5. The Teachers Union supports Hillary. The Culinary Union support Obama. Both candidate have an array of Union Leaders on their side, as well as Union Employees. To suggest that Obama is the candidate of Union Bosses is erroneous, because Hillary has Union Bosses acting as her surrogates. I might add that several Nevada teachers have come forward to loudly denounce what Hillary is doing to the culinary workers.
With all of that said, there is only one camp engaging in dirty tricks. That's the Hillary camp. Her reputation as a cold, win-at-all-cost manipulator is certainly bearing out in our state. Hillary could call off this lawsuit with one phone call. Why doesn't she? Because if a few thousand Obama supporters aren't allowed to caucus, she may win. If Hillary is the kind of candidate that we want--after two terms of lies and manipulations from Bush--then I feel there is no hope for this country. Playing dirty and suppressing votes should not win the day. What does that say about Nevada if that strategy prevails?

  6. Funny that someone posted above that if you run a union, you should support Obama. Wasn't it this paper that had the info about Jan Lafferty Jones of Harrahs pushing Hillary? Get a clue, folks.

  7. The Clintons have been a divisive force in this country just like the Bush's.
Our country has been divided for more than 20 years and there has not been an improvment in our economic well being as a country, nor has our standing in the world been one to be proud of.
First Bush brought us deceit, lies and cover ups ie. Iran Contra when he was V.P. and continued through his first term as Pres. as well as divisiness.

Clinton brought us more lies, deceit, coverups as well as divisiveness.

Second Bush brought us more lies, deceit, coverups and divisiness.

My question to all of you, is this what we want to continue? If we put another Clinton in the White House, the odds are a sure thing that the lies, deceit and coverups will continue.

Do you think this is what our country really needs?
Or do you think that perhaps it is time we elect the person that can unify our country and get us back on a path to healing?

I for one feel that Senator Obama is the only real good choice for us to pick in getting our country back on the right path. I do hope that you will join me and others in supporting him and caucus for him Saturday.
    Thank You.

  8. Here’s the Republican propaganda for the salesman:

Is it obvious that they let this rookie to have a free ride about his record?

Is it obvious that the Republicans aim the attacks only to Hillary Clinton?

Is it obvious that most of the Independents (Republican) are planning to vote for this rookie during the primary? They want him to win!

Republicans know they will eat him alive if he is the Democrat nominee. Here are the facts that Republicans will use against this rookie:

WHY THIS PHONY SALESMAN CAN NOT BE TRUSTED?

..Muslim blood. Muslim’s sons are Muslims for life. Blood is sticker than water. You can run but you can not hide.
..refused to say the Pledge of Allegiance. He did not want to offend ISLAM so he refused.
..claims he’s running on his record.. He did not even know how to cast a “Yes” or “No” vote.
.. had 17 years’ old unpaid outstanding parking tickets. He should spend sometime in jail.
.insisted that his health care provides care to everyone, does he know what universal means?
..a fabulous orator, but we need more than words; we need a doer not a talker
..he says one thing and does another
..will meet with enemies without preconditions
..he said that he was not taking money from the Lobbyists. How about the Rezko connection?
..playing old politics as usual, after he promised hope and change….
..used to be a drug addict or a pusher?
    …inexperienced, lack of accomplishments

  9. everyone should go read this story about apparent intimidation by shop steward of workers who are undecided or are not supporting obama.

“The lady told all of us: Nobody can go to the caucus unless you’re voting for Obama,” Angers said. “They have no right to do what they did. This is America. You should be able to vote for who you feel like. It doesn’t matter who the union is endorsing. They can try to persuade us but it doesn’t mean people have to vote for them.”

But Antuna tells a different story. She said she was filling out a voter registration form when the union reps approached her about Obama. When she told them she wasn’t sure about caucusing for him, one rep took her registration form, indeed telling her that she couldn’t participate Saturday if she wasn’t supporting Obama.

At that point, Antuna said, Angers and DeFalco, who were sitting at a neighboring table, engaged the union rep in a heated discussion. Antuna said she sat silent while both sides swapped words. She doesn’t recall the bit about the pledge cards.

One key fact: The union reps spoke broken English.

“It’s possible it was a miscommunication,” Antuna said.

In fact, Antuna said the Culinary called her later to inform her the union had received her voter registration form, spoken with her supervisor and that she was clear to caucus during her shift on Saturday.

“I don’t even know what to think,” she said. “This is totally new to me. I’m just glad I can actually go and caucus.”

Antuna said she’s undecided on a candidate.

Pilar Weiss, political director of the Culinary, said she would try to find out about the incident.

“I’m not belittling it,” Weiss said. “I’m taking it seriously, and I’m going to look into It. But we’re conducting training all the time with our staff to be respectful of other opinions. We would never engage in voter intimidation.”

She said that with just a few days before the caucus, many members have become emotionally attached to Obama and other candidates, which can lead to misunderstandings and miscommunications.

“We want our members to stick together and support Obama, but our organizers are being trained to know some of our members and their families are participating for other candidates. And we want them to participate,” she said."
