Hillary Clinton comments on lawsuit

To my pal Anjeanette Damon.

Good stuff, along with Reid the Younger adopting the longtime Clinton line about "process stories," is here:

Hillary Clinton and Rory Reid on the caucus lawsuit

  1. hope everyone reads this link -- thanks for posting it

One of Hillary's problem's is she is just not as good at Bill at "twisting" in the wind --
So her campaign attorney filed the lawauit - but she doesn't know about it??

If that was true - who needs another CEO president who doesn't know what their minions are doing?

And if it is not true - well as David Geffen said many many months ago - "The Clintons lie with such ease it is troubling"

  2. We must stop acting like mean spirited Republicans with mean spirited distructive comments. Addressing the isues and giving solutions is the way to a better nation. Don't forget we will have to unite after the Primaries to keep another Republican disaster out of the White House. A Party Of, For and By the people requires tolorance to avoid self distruction.

  3. Why hasn't anyone mentioned that all of the best polls show that Clinton would lose to ANY Republican? Who wants Bill in the Whitehouse again?

  4. The Clintons owe union members an apology. What's next a poll tax? Talk about suppression of voting. This is outrageous.

  5. The choice is becoming more and more clear. The facts speak for themselves.

    Obama '08

  6. Clinton and the teachers' union are so cynical, trying to disenfranchise caucus-goers. If she really wants as many people to participate as possible, as she said, she should tell her supporters not to sue to stop people from being able to vote at caucus locations on the Strip.

Asked about the lawsuit Clinton said:

"I know about the lawsuit. I hope it can be resolved by the courts and by the state party. Obviously, we want as many people as possible to participate."

In a later interview, I asked Clinton again about the lawsuit. She repeated her criticism of the caucus process, that it leaves too many people out and said she wants as many people as possible to participate. Does she support the lawsuit?

"I have no opinion on the lawsuit."

Does she have an opinion on the at-large precincts as a way to make the process more fair?

    "I don't. I just don't know."

  7. Once again, the Clintons will do whatever it takes to win an election, voters be damned. The end result is that they will not only alienate and divide now, but in the general election as well. The old saying used to go "penny wise and pound foolish". How does her refusal to stand up and be accountable get her into the White House?

  8. A Hillary presidency complete with bickering, lawsuits, corruption and crying? No Thanks!!!

  9. IM A UNION MEMBER AND I HAVE NO MIND OF MY OWN. IM VOTING FOR HILLARY CLINTON.

  10. Silly me. Trying to get white, 20 something, working class graduates of Green Valley High School and Foothill High School to attend a Democratic Party caucus.

Most of them work on Saturday, either at the Sunset Galleria, nearby stores, or at the many telephone call centers in Henderson and Paradise Valley. They're struggling to pay the rent, and cannot afford to take time off from work to attend a caucus.

Frankly, I'm pissed as hell that there are no "at large" caucus sites in Henderson, to allow these young native Nevadans' voices to be heard.

These "at large caucus sites" on the Strip inherently violate the Equal Protection Clause in the Nevada Constitution and the U. S. Constitution. But then, again why should I expect the egomaniacal jerks who arranged for them to be created to care about civil rights for people other than their own narrow constituency?

I wish Nevada would pass an employer sanction law, like Arizona's, taking away the business licenses of employers (like the casinos) who do not bother to check to see if their employees' documents are counterfeit. Of course, that would be too much to ask. The Culinary Union's 60,000 member ranks might lose a few members.

Frankly, there's no one in the Nevada Democratic Party who gives a rat's patootie about the white working class students who graduate from our local high schools. It's no wonder they do not vote, or vote Republican.

  11. If these "at-large caucus sites" violate the Equal Protection Clause, then we have the clearest proof that the Clintons originally planned to rig the caucus, as they were arrogantly sure that the union would endorse them, regardless of her anti-union record. They fell into their own trap and you have no reason to sympathise with them. Imagine if Republicans had done the same thing to Democrats, how would you feel?

If Hillary Clinton cannot win Barack Obama without cheating, why bother to nominate her? In the recent CNN survey, her negatives were HIGHEST at 54%, while Obama is 15% more electable than her. Youths, new voters and Independents are voting for Obama, not her. She comes with a huge baggage. Why waste time with her, only to be disappointed in Novemebr?

See how her dirty tricks are causing division within the party. If Hillary wins this nomination with the same tricks used by Gore against Bradley, folks, say Bye bye to 2008:

  12. Caucusses can be done in the light of day and cannot be Rigged. Hillary was for this system which they knew about a year ago as long as she was ahead in the polls. This is dirty campaigning and that is why people cannot believe in their candidates who will stoop to any lenghts to secure a victory. People want change. People want integrity and truthfulness. People want candidates they can believe in. Not someone who will say and do anything -- lie, steal and cheat. We need honest people in government. We need Obama's Change.

  13. I agree with the first post -- everybody should read the link regarding Clinton's connection to Jim Bilbray and the lawsuit.

"I have no opinion on the lawsuit," Clinton said.

No opinion? No connection? Then perhaps you can explain this press release, issued in August 2007, in which Rory Reid states:

"We are honored that he will play a leading role in the campaign."

Will Hillary ever get caught in one of her many lies?

Perhaps her nickname should be "Slick Hilly."

  14. This is gonna backfire on them
