I would much rather take the California-Nevada Maglev Super Train because I believe it can be completed before the DesertXpress could finish enviromental studies for a Palmdale line. I do not want to wait until 2021-2031 for a Palmdale line to Victorville.
The CA-NV Maglev Super Train from Anaheim, Caliornia to Las Vegas would be much more useful and beneficial in the long run for Southern California and much quicker to get to Las Vegas.
Once the shovel hits the ground for the CA-NV Maglev Train, their is a 5-year completion plan.
The DesertXpress will only stop in Victorville. I have no use for a train that just stops in Victorville.
I would be able to catch the CA-NV Maglev in Anaheim. The Maglev will serve Anaheim, Ontario, Barstow and Victorville and onto Primm, Ivanpah Valley Airport (2017), South Las Vegas and Downtown Las Vegas.
The DesertXpress is alot slower.
The CA-NV Maglev can get to Las Vegas in less than 86 minutes from Anaheim and is eniromentally-clean.
A whole gang of us are going to get together and ride to Victorville!!! Yeah Victorville, they have a Dairy Queen and a hamburg joint. That is worth the ride alone. Nice job Harry. Once again you chose the side that makes no sense.
If you really thought about it the Maglev made more sense for the Southwest and especially here in Nevada where only 90,000 jobs would have been created. So you saved 10,000 jobs and killed 90,000. In Obamanomics that is still a plus right?
This poll should have option of choosing Desert Xpress or MAGLEV! This suggest that there is no other option. Some people may be unaware of the MAGLEV project.
There is no way in hell I would support or ride the DXE. I would rather ride the Maglev project which would take you all the way into Orange County and not dump you out in Victorville. Sen. Reid is a slow learner like his buddy if just building a train to Victorville is going to work!!
Oops! The end of my prior comment above. It should say "enviromentally-clean". Yes I agree, they should have asked the question "Do you want the CA-NV Maglev Super Train or the DesertXpress? I love the website of the CA-NV Maglev. Very educational and very well planned out with a timetable and route page. I would love to hear the news that by next year they could start digging with the golden shovel on the Maglev project.
How many people would actually drive all the way to Victorville and leave their car there while they play at Stateline or Las Vegas?
I think the CA-NV Maglev would serve Southern California alot better than the DesertXpress.
I would definitely take the Maglev to Anaheim but a slower trip to the middle of nowhere would be completely useless.
I will not let my car bake at over 100* at Victorville during summer, nor will I let my car's battery die at below freezing in the winter in the open parking lots for days at a time!
