Legalize Prostitution!!
Raise "sin" taxes and the tax on gasoline along with across the board reductions in all state funded programs ... weigh an increase in the state sales taxes after the above have been instituted.
Regardless of what type of revenue raising insturments the state uses to fund the various programs we will always have a "feast and famine" revenue stream based on the economic situation in Nevada as well as the nation.
Most other states are in the same shape financially as Nevada is [California?].
Fire the idiot, I mean, the Governor.
Raise taxes. Make someone else pay. Tax everyone but me. This shortfall is going to get nothing but worse in the near future.
Legalize and tax prostitution! Enough of the Mormon hypocrisy in this state!
Make cuts across the board to fix 50% of the problem. Avoid layoffs by maintaining a REAL hiring freeze and don't fill positions soon to be vacated by retirees. Raise taxes on the mining industry and create a small service tax rate to fix the other 50%. Leave fuel, property, & sales taxes the way they are.
Reduce the governor's salary and those of his staff to the equivalency of a welfare grant.
