  1. Hello Ray & Case,
Thanks for the laugh to start the Podcast...

What a treat to see the players from both Truckee and Cheyenne exchanging hugs and words of encouragement after such a hard fought game. Both teams played hard right to the end.
As it turned out, weather was not a factor. The parents, alumni, volunteers and Waltman Snow Removal did an OUTSTANDING job, removing over a foot of snow from the football field. Some were out there before dawn...
It was ZERO degrees overnight, but warmed up to just above freezing by game time, and felt warmer in the sun.
(There are pictures on the "Truckee Football" Facebook page.)
I walked the field 20 minutes before kickoff, and to my amazement, it was absolutely dry, between the yard markers...as the sun came out by about 9:30am...
Both Coaching staffs had very kind words to say about the opposing teams and Coaches.
I was able to personally thank the Coaching staff from Cheyenne for their efforts and sportsmanship.
If I were from Cheyenne, I would be very encouraged with your football program. Fare well next season.

  2. This year has turned out great, I think re alignment worked. It was needed. Competition went up this year. Div 1A everyone felt they had a shot, Div 1 everyone had to step up their game. Made for a great season and Saturdays tripple header should be good. Can you buy one ticket and watch all three games? If so I just might do that. I am a bit of a sports junkie!

  3. I was at the Arbor Vs. Cent. game and I swear that the wind would change direction so that the wind was always in Arbor's face. That's just bad luck.

  4. Coach Earl,
In years past, that was the case...
You bought your ticket, and went in, but there is no in and out privelege, as far as I know...
So, once you are in, you're in...

  5. First Congrats on Cent upsetting Arbor. But I felt Arbor lost the game Cent did not win it, every time Arbor had a opportunity to do something big they blew it with a sack, fumble, interception and just plain bad play calls...(Pass on 4th with 2 to go for first, really?!) I also agree with Leaf the wind seemed against them. It would of been cool to see Gorman at Arbor for the region Champion game...anyway,
Good Luck to Cent for the Gorman game though!

  6. I think arbor is really wasting their talent In the double wing, Barnson should use a Gorman style to utilize his team talent.

  7. @Case and Ray. It's Moapa. As in Cat.
