The Kats Report Podcast

“The Kats Report” is an entertainment radio show hosted by John Katsilometes, columnist and editor-at-large for Greenspun Media Group. The half-hour show airs weekly on KUNV 91.5 FM at 8 p.m. Fridays. Kats interviews the top Las Vegas celebrities, performers and executives in the Entertainment Capital of the World.

On Monday, January 11, the band is making its second appearance at Cabaret Jazz at the Smith Center for the Performing Arts— and hopes to play the venue more often in 2016.

KWTD — Susan Anton: Thu, Dec 31, 2015 (4:49 p.m.); Kats flies solo this week on his year-ending show. He talks with Susan Anton, who is performing in early January at the Smith Center in “Already Home.”

KWTD — John Fogerty preps for the Strip: Thu, Dec 10, 2015 (5:10 p.m.); The legendary singer and guitarist from Creedence Clearwater Revival talks of his upcoming residency at Venetian Theater, which starts on Jan. 8, saying, "That's Elvis's birthday. I don't know if anyone else realized that, but I did." He also recalls how the name of CCR supplanted the original — the Golliwogs.

KWTD — Bob Anderson bids adieu: Fri, Dec 4, 2015 (1:44 p.m.); The great impressionist, singer and actor has closed "Frank: The Man, The Music" at Palazzo Theater. What's next? There is talk of moving a version of the show to Carnegie Hall, and possibly even Broadway.

Human Nature for the holidays: Sat, Nov 21, 2015 (9:34 p.m.); Johnny Kats and Dish McCrone chat up Human Nature, who give details about their upcoming Christmas show at the Venetian which co-stars Ruby Lewis of the upcoming Cirque Broadway production “Paramour.” The guys also say that a return to the stage at Sands Showroom is a possibility as they review offers for a home in 2016.

Kats with the Dish from Nov. 13, 2015: Sat, Nov 14, 2015 (12:05 a.m.); This week's guest is "Jersey Boys" music director Keith Thompson, bringing "God Lives in Glass" to the Smith Center's Reynolds Hall.
