Faiss Middle School provides for meaningful communication with parents through: 1) Newsletters sent six times throughout the school year; 2) Monthly Parent Advisory Committee meetings; 3) Teacherease, an interactive communication tool that provides parents with the ability to view current grades, attendance, patterns, and class assignments; 4) Open House; 5) Fifth grade parent orientation night activities; 6) Welcome Back Day activities; 7) School website to update information weekly; 8) The use of Teacherease to directly e-mail teachers. Faiss Middle School also utilizes phone calls, e-mail, student planners, and parent/student conferences for two-way communication with families. A school website with the monthly calendar and newsletter is maintained and can be accessed via the school district website or Teacherease. Parents and community members volunteer as chaperones for field trips, guest speakers in the classroom, and to serve on various school-wide committees.
