From the school

Johnson JHS offers parents the opportunity to stay in touch with their students academic progress. Summer campus visitation, open house, parent newsletters, student planners, Take Your Parent to School Day, and monthly parent advisory meetings offer parents the ability to stay in touch with their students' academic progress, citizenship, and attendance. Using the online InTouch System, parents can access this information via a computer or telephone twenty-four hours a day. Structured Teacher Planning Time sets aside daily teacher time to contact parents as needed for both positive and negative happenings of students. Teachers also set aside time to meet with parents during this time. Johnson JHS has a very active parent volunteer program. Parents are involved in many different activities throughout the year. They assist the school with the student store, picture day, selling of dance tickets, field trips, and many other duties that help the school run smoothly. We are proud to have such an involved parent group and hope that more parents will join.
