From the school
Freshman orientation was held in August with booths and information for students and parents. A school-wide open house was held in September. In-Touch was used by parents and students to check academic progress throughout the year. Six parent newsletters were produced. American Education Week in November hosted parents in the classroom working alongside their students. End-of-semester grade level celebrations were held for students and parents in each house to recognize perfect attendance and honor roll achievements. AVID parents and students attended family nights throughout the year. Three senior parent nights were held to assist with scholarships and college admission. Junior Jumpstart was held in the spring to orient parents and students to the testing and college processes.
