From the school
Silverado High School provides two-way, meaningful communication with parents, family and its community on a regular basis through a variety of resources. Our on-going, daily communication is focused through our school Web page with our parent communication homepage. Through this home page, the community has access to a variety of information regarding school activities, calendars and community/state resources and links, as well as minutes from the schools open parent meetings. Parents have additional access to grades, attendance, and e-mail links to teachers. Faculty members are provided contact information through ClassXP to facilitate communication via phone or e-mail with parents and students. Silverado High School holds monthly support staff meetings to review communication and information-sharing components within each office's area of responsibility in order to maintain a high level of service and troubleshoot any areas of concern with regards to communication with parents. Other opportunities for parent communication include open parent meetings, scholarship and financial aid night, senior college transition night, honors and Advanced Placement parent night, freshman orientations, parent conferences and open house.
