From the school
At Liberty High School, parent communication is a cornerstone for student achievement. Four newsletters are published and sent to parents containing information on school news, student achievement, recognitions and upcoming events. The Liberty website provides updated information on academics, athletics and activities with links to communicate with teachers and administrators. Postcards are sent to parents to provide information regarding testing, registration, graduation and other special events. Parents have the opportunity through Parent Advisory Council to provide input. In April, incoming freshmen students are invited to an orientation night to meet coaches, club advisors and tour the school. Other meetings held to provide parents with school information include Open House, Scholarship Information Night, Advanced Placement/Honors Night, Freshmen Orientation and Senior Awards Night. Intouch Online provides parents with a weekly update on student grades and attendance which enhances parent conferences and teacher/parent relationships.
