From the school

Laughlin Junior/Senior High School strives to maintain open communication with its stakeholders and currently uses the following methods/programs to assist with school/community communication. Intouch, an online data base system, allows parents to view student grades and attendance on a weekly basis. Parents are able to view the teacher grade books; this enables them to view scores obtained on assignments and/or missing assignments. The LHS Weekly Newsletter is used to send current and upcoming events to parents and community members each week electronically; they are also able to contact the Assistant Principal directly when they have questions about any current/upcoming events. Parents are provided a listing of teacher email addresses, enabling parents and teachers to correspond electronically. Auto dialer, an automated voice call system, contacts parents in regards to upcoming tests, Open House, sporting events, music concerts, etc. Parents may call the school and schedule a parent conference at any time. In addition, local TV and news coverage, verbal reports to the Laughlin Town Board, and liaisons with local community service groups are used to promote school/community communication.
