"In addition to monthly parent advisory council meetings and student of the month recognition breakfasts, parents and students are encouraged to establish regular on-line communication with teachers and administrators through Durango High Schools Web page and InTouch online system.
"Informational meetings, such as freshman orientations, AVID barbeques, open houses, Jostens scholastic products, preliminary scholastic aptitude test interpretations are conducted, as well as sessions dealing with Air Force Jr. Reserve officer training corps requirements, sophomore and junior timelines and scholarships, senior financial aid, and the UNLV/UNR application process.
"Athletics, spirit team, and dance DIVA meetings are conducted prior to the beginning of each season to provide parents and participants with general information.
"Parents and community members are invited to choral, band, and orchestra concerts, as well as several theatre productions each year. Community members and parents are also invited to attend our annual fall culture celebration, art fair, freshman pre-registration night, and spring job information fair."
