From the school
At Dean Petersen Professional Development School, all communication was sent home in English and Spanish. Bi-monthly newsletters addressed upcoming events, information about the curriculum, and parenting advice. Students, parents, and teachers were surveyed to determine areas of strengths and concerns. The results from the surveys were provided to all parents. Our parenting center provided parents with skills to support their children in the academic program. In addition, adult classes for learning English were held at the school site.
