From the school
"Crestwood Elementary engages in regular and meaningful communication throughout the school year in a variety of ways. Crestwood holds open house night at the beginning of the year to provide parents an opportunity to meet our teachers and become acquainted with the curriculum. Family literacy and game nights, Muffins for Moms and Doughnuts for Dads are held throughout the school year, providing parents an opportunity to interact with teachers and their children in the school setting. Our yearly Spring Carnival provides students and families an opportunity to have fun with our school community. Student Learning Conferences are held four times a year during which time the teacher, student and parents meet to discuss student progress and set new goals. In alignment with these conferences, achievement assemblies are held to recognize students for achievement, improvement and citizenship. Parent volunteers are also recognized for their participation at the school. Monthly newsletters keep parents informed of upcoming events.
