From the school
One of our primary goals at CHS is to maintain an open line of communication with parents and members of the community. Meetings are held with parents on a continual basis to provide information regarding curriculum, classroom instruction, and student achievement. Open House is a highlight of the school year and the gymnasium is filled to capacity. In May, parents and students are invited to an orientation night to meet coaches, club advisors, and tour the school. Based upon district surveys sent to parents and staff, we achieved the highest overall satisfaction rate for the SE Region. CHS publishes a variety of informational materials for parents, students, and staff including a parent newsletter, a student newspaper, and an athletic newsletter. In-Touch Online and teacher individual web pages provide parents a daily update of their student's grades/attendance. Additionally, on our website (www.coronadocourgars.net) parents are provided with e-mail links to directly contact teachers. An Auto-Dialer phone system is used for constant communication with parents as well. At the beginning of each school year we organize a barbeque for incoming freshmen, new students, and their parents.
