From the school
The faculty and staff of Cheyenne High School understand the importance of meaningful communication with parents and guardians. Parents and guardians are notified daily of student absences and tardies by our automated phone system. This system is also used to notify students and their families of important information and upcoming events, such as testing dates. Newsletters are produced and mailed to parents and guardians monthly, and postcards are used to supplement timely information. Teachers, administrators and staff provide individual communication through phone calls, meetings, and parent conferences.
Parents and guardians have access to their students personal information, including grades and attendance, using our on-line InTouch system. Links to teachers' e-mail addresses are also available on InTouch. All parents are invited to attend Parent Advisory meetings held at the beginning of each month, both in the morning and evening, and are encouraged to volunteer at the school and/or in classrooms. Parents and guardians are also encouraged to attend special events at the school, such as our freshman barbeque and orientation, open house night, drama and band performances, and sporting events.
