From the school
Brown Junior High Schools faculty and staff work and communicate regularly with our parents through various means. Parents and family members are afforded many opportunities to be involved in the school community during: Open House, Grand Parents Day, Awards Night, Family Night, Parents as Partners activities, the Career Fair, parent conferences, performing arts concerts and athletic games and banquets. Another communication tool utilized is the InTouch system which features an auto dialer for telephone delivery of school-wide notices, email for communication with teachers, and access to grades and attendance. A quarterly newsletter that spotlights academics, extracurricular activities, and student accomplishments is produced and distributed. Additionally, letters and flyers are sent home regarding important school news. The principal also holds monthly meetings where parents are able to ask questions, express concerns, and share in the decision-making process.
