From the school
A strong effort was made last year to provide meaningful communication and connections between the school, families and the community. 90 percent of families attended the back-to-school orientation and 95 percent of families attended Parent-Teacher Conferences. Bi-weekly progress reports updating students academic and social progress were sent home. Bi-monthly newsletters were provided to each family. In addition, the school hosted monthly themed family nights and events in conjunction with the PTA (Parent Teacher Association), including family fun night, open house, fall festival, Missoula Childrens Theater, Baskin-Robbins night, winter holiday choir & ensemble concert, along with a humanities play, inclusion & movie night, academic fair, and bingo games. Also, volunteers were encouraged to assist in classrooms and throughout the school.
