Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, marks International Holocaust Remembrance Day, which is designated by the U.N. General Assembly to commemorate the victims of the Holocaust. On Jan. 27, 1945, the largest Nazi death camp, Auschwitz-Birkenau in Poland, was liberated by the Soviet Red Army.
