With a cry of, “Captain of the Britannia, prepare broadside; Ready, Aim, Fire,” Steve Wynn signaled the start of the implosion of the Dunes on October 27 1993, ending the run of the 38-year-old property. Here is a collection of photos from the Sun archive of “The Miracle in the Desert” over the years.
