Why is Erik Scott being honored? Did he serve our country in the military? Did he work in a homeless shelter? What did he do to make this world a better place? All I know about him is he liked to surf, threw temper tantrums in Costco, and threatened police. How does any of that make him worthy of an honor? We need to honor the brave men and women who defend our country, defend the public from violence, and care for the needy. We need to honor the noble men and women who give of themselves to make this world a better place for OTHERS. All of the money Erik's family has wasted trying to justify uncivil acts by Erik could be put to good use helping others.
