Police Standoff on Phillips Avenue

A man barricaded himself in his home on Phillips Avenue on Sunday morning, Dec. 26, 2010. The police standoff ended around 1 p.m. when Las Vegas Metropolitan Police and SWAT officers stormed into the man’s duplex and took him into custody. Police said the man, whose name was not immediately released, was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with undisclosed injuries. He was not injured while being taken into custody, police said.
