Green Valley High defensive back LaQuan Phillips is recovering from a neck injury he suffered during last Friday's game against Centennial. The 5-foot-9, 160-pound senior suffered the injury midway through the second quarter while making a tackle. He is now in the Trauma Intensive Care Unit at Sunrise Hospital and is expected to recover.
