Inside the Main Library in downtown Albuquerque, while Barack Obama addressed a gathering of women at an invitation-only event, this member of the Albuquerque Police Department stood watch in one of the stairway exits of the building. I liked the way he was watching the stairway quietly, framed by the colorful wall of the library's periodical and newspaper section on the second floor. He was so still and watchful, he almost could have passed for a Secret Service agent. - Leila Navidi
