Team USA’s Under-18 squad will feature two Bishop Gorman teammates after all. Chase Jeter, who was one of the 15 players remaining in camp before the final cut, was added to the roster Wednesday evening to replace incoming UNLV freshman Dwayne Morgan.

UNLV’s incoming class is filled with guys who weren’t supposed to be here. Bishop Gorman High grad Ben Carter chose Oregon over the Rebels a couple years ago. Point guards Cody Doolin and Jerome Seagears both played nearly full collegiate careers at San Francisco and Rutgers, respectively, before trying to find something else for their final season.

If you know what to expect, the Desert Reign ProCity League can be a lot of fun. Entering its third season, the ProCity League is primarily a stage for incoming and current UNLV players but also features other local collegiate or pro players who are in town.

Rutgers transfer Jerome Seagears is the newest Rebel, he told the Sun today. Seagears, a 6-foot-1 guard, was in town for an official visit and made his decision known just before taking off on his flight back home in Maryland. Seagears has one year of eligibility remaining and the Rebels expect him to be eligible immediately.
