In UNLV’s only meeting with Wyoming this season, a banged-up Larry Nance Jr. impacted the game with 12 points and nine rebounds. But this go-round, the first-team all-conference forward won't be around, and the Rebels get back a key player of their own.

The first game of the Mountain West tournament today at the Thomas & Mack Center had one of the best endings in the event’s 15-year history. The second one was good, too. And two out of three ain't bad.

The Rebels must have Bryce Dejean-Jones’ unquestioned ability on the court to have a fighting chance of winning this week’s Mountain West Conference tournament. The recently suspended junior wing has been cleared to play after an episode of self-absorbed immaturity, but can he bounce back to lead UNLV in a spirit of unselfishness?

The Rebels’ Khem Birch won the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year for the second straight season but missed out on first-team all-league accolades, it was announced today. UNLV’s Bryce Dejean-Jones and Roscoe Smith were also honored.

Cole Huff scored the go-ahead points on an offensive putback and UNR completed a 17-point comeback for a 76-72 victory against UNLV tonight at the Lawlor Events Center. On his senior night, Deonte Burton scored 24 points with 11 assists and eight rebounds, while Huff finished with 22 points.
