    Unlike the last time Lyoto Machida was involved in a decision, there will be no immediate rematch this time. Despite a split decision result and an offer to do it again from Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson himself, the UFC 123 main event fighters will move on to other opponents and not face one another again immediately.

    It took B.J. Penn 21 seconds to knock out Matt Hughes Saturday in the co-main event at UFC 123. It appears it took Dana White about the same amount of time to find Penn’s next fight.

    Making weight was apparently no problem for all 22 fighters set to compete on Saturday’s UFC 123 event, as not a single one of them took advantage of the extra pound given to each division. A fighter is allowed to weigh in 1 pound over his or her weight limit.

    After suffering the second of consecutive losses to Frankie Edgar in August, B.J. Penn says he returned to his home in Hilo, Hawaii, and spent some time outside the gym. According to the former lightweight and welterweight champion, even though he took off only a few days, he didn't know what to do with himself.

Nick Diaz fails to back up years worth of talk

UFC 158 A welterweight title fight that felt incredibly different wound up remarkably the same. Georges St. Pierre manhandled nemesis Nick Diaz with his wrestling. St. Pierre won every round on every judges' scorecard in Montreal for his sixth straight unanimous-decision victory. Diaz had preached his superiority over St. Pierre for years, but when he finally got his chance, he looked as helpless as all the other challengers to the 170-pound division's throne in the last six years. St. Pierre's consistency continued to amaze. Now it's on to Johny Hendricks, who defeated Carlos Condit in the evening's co-main event. Could he be the one to finally threaten St. Pierre?
