    Surrounded by a few hundred liquored-up patrons who had just ended a hard day on the job, Ross Pearson used to fight in working men's clubs in the United Kingdom. With plumes of smoke in the air and grown men yelling, he'd put on his show, then join those he'd entertained for a pint or two. His fight on Saturday night against Aaron Riley at UFC 105 in Manchester, England, couldn't possibly present a different atmosphere than where the 25-year-old was doing battle just two years ago.

    With all the recent shuffling in the UFC’s schedule due to injuries, cases of mono and A-Team movies, it’s been easy to forget about an injury that occurred earlier this year. One that really screwed up the title picture in its welterweight division.

    Brandon Vera wasn't high on the idea of fighting with virtually no break after UFC 101. But he says he couldn't pass up an opportunity to fight Randy Couture. While in Los Angeles for UFC 104, Vera took the time to answer questions about Couture and his career.

Brock Lesnar retires after first-round TKO defeat against Alistair Overeem

UFC 141 Alistair Overeem called it his "liver kick". Brock Lesnar just knew it hurt. Overeem sent Lesnar into retirement when he fired his foot into Lesnar's stomach midway through the first round of their heavyweight title eliminator bout. Lesnar crouched in pain after the strike and eventually fell to the mat. Overeem rushed in and threw a few more strikes, but Lesnar had nothing left. The referee pulled Overeem off to officialy give him the next shot at champion Junior dos Santos. In the co-main event, Nate Diaz upset Donald Cerrone after a week full of tempers flaring between the two lightweights.
