Pre-fight press conferences are too mundane for Timothy Bradley. So Bradley brought a prop to the final media function of fight week Wednesday at the MGM Grand. The 5-foot-6 Bradley raised a ticket taller than him over his head as he stood at the podium next to Manny Pacquiao. The scene in the lobby of the MGM Grand Tuesday resembled one of the Las Vegas Strip property’s popular nightclubs. A disc jockey was stationed near the back of the lobby playing trendy music, dancers performed to a scripted routine and roughly 1,000 patrons jammed into the small area, several documenting the afternoon with pictures and video from their smart phones.

Boxer Manny Pacquiao settled his defamation lawsuit Tuesday against promoters Oscar De La Hoya and Richard Schaefer of Golden Boy Promotions. Details of the agreement were kept private. The lawsuit, which was filed in December 2009 in Las Vegas federal court, alleged that four individuals — De La Hoya, Schaefer (the CEO of Golden Boy), boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr., and his father, Floyd Sr. — defamed Pacquiao with their public comments alleging he used performance-enhancing drugs.

Juan Manuel Marquez on Tuesday finalized a deal to fight Pacquiao Nov. 12 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, getting one more chance to defeat boxing’s undisputed pound-for-pound champion. The line seemed to get longer and longer. Fewer than 1,000 tickets remain for the May 7 WBO welterweight championship fight between Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley at the MGM Grand, according to promotion company Top Rank.

Manny Pacquiao plans to fight Sugar Shane Mosley in his next bout May 7 in Las Vegas. Promoter Bob Arum told The Associated Press on Tuesday night that the deal will be done after Mosley’s lawyers approve the final paperwork.

As expected, there was a mixture of Manny Pacquiao fans, Joshua Clottey fans and Dallas Cowboys fans at Friday's weigh-in for the first fight in the team's $1.2 billion structure. And as expected, the Pacquiao fans made the most noise. "Who all out there are Dallas Cowboys fans?
