Cheyenne football might be young, but they still are one of the teams to beat
Wednesday, August 28, 2013
high school football:
Don’t expect the Cheyenne High football team to change its offensive philosophy after graduating an 1,800-yard running back from last season. Myloe Lewis scored 31 touchdowns in 2012 to help the Desert Shields reach the Division I-A state semifinals. When Cheyenne opens the season Thursday against visiting Moapa Valley, look for Cheyenne to go back to its bread-and-butter of running the ball. “That’s what we do,” Cheyenne coach David Cochran said of the run-first mentality. “We aren’t going to change our formula.”
