    Juan Manuel Marquez made it two-for-two against Juan Diaz Saturday at the Mandalay Bay Events Center, defeating him by unanimous decision in a rematch of their 2009 Fight of the Year.

    Lightweight world champion Juan Manuel Marquez tipped the scales at 133.5 pounds during Friday’s official weigh-in for his title fight against Juan Diaz this weekend at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. If all goes well for Marquez, it might be the last time he weighs-in that low the rest of his career.

    Manny Pacquiao is good. Floyd Mayweather Jr. is better. At least that’s the opinion of one of their common opponents. With the reality still settling in that Pacquiao and Mayweather will not fight in 2010, Juan Manuel Marquez offered his opinion on which of the two would win if they ever meet.

Win, and Diaz will emerge as a true star in the 135-pound division. Lose, and he’ll face the possibility he’s meant to do something else with his life. He’s prepared for both outcomes.

Nick Diaz fails to back up years worth of talk

UFC 158 A welterweight title fight that felt incredibly different wound up remarkably the same. Georges St. Pierre manhandled nemesis Nick Diaz with his wrestling. St. Pierre won every round on every judges' scorecard in Montreal for his sixth straight unanimous-decision victory. Diaz had preached his superiority over St. Pierre for years, but when he finally got his chance, he looked as helpless as all the other challengers to the 170-pound division's throne in the last six years. St. Pierre's consistency continued to amaze. Now it's on to Johny Hendricks, who defeated Carlos Condit in the evening's co-main event. Could he be the one to finally threaten St. Pierre?
