Four years ago, I was plying my trade around the world on cruise ships dreaming of hitting a big stage like the one on which I currently have the honor of performing at Harrah’s. I’m grateful to be here, and not just because of the realization of a dream.

Once upon a time, I entered a local pageant and won the title of Miss Henderson. But that’s another story for another day. As part of my platform for Miss Henderson, I was a big supporter of keeping arts and music in education.

In the fall of 2012, my life took an unpredictable turn when country music icons Tim McGraw and Faith Hill opened a show at the Venetian. They were to replace the wildly successful 6 1/2 year run of “Phantom — The Las Vegas Spectacular.”
