Suit seeks collection of $1.5M judgment against Strip entertainer: Thursday, August 6, 2009; By Steve Green; A Tennessee man says Zowie Bowie entertainer Marley Taylor ruined his career with false allegations of sexual harassment and he is stepping up efforts to collect on a $1.545 million court judgment against her.

Marley Taylor and Chris Phillips are moving their "Zowie Bowie" show from Red Rock Resort to the Palms, where it will actually be two shows: one featuring a big band and vintage Vegas music, the other with a smaller combo and top-40 songs.

What: Singing duo of Chris Phillips and Marley Taylor.
Current: They have moved over to the Monte Carlo on the Strip. They will play their free-admission hip-hop sets at 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays at The Pub. Starting Sept. 23, the duo will have 7:30 p.m. Sunday shows at Monte Carlo's Lance Burton Theatre, where they will perform their vintage Vegas act, which includes a 17-piece orchestra. The admission for that show will be $29.95.
What to expect: High-energy hip-hop shows Friday and Saturday; Vintage Vegas routines with the orchestra on Sunday.
Trademarks: Stylish blond hair, perfect teeth, chic wardrobes, lots of bling.
Name: Before the duo met, Phillips performed as Zowie Bowie, borrowing the name of rocker David Bowie’s son, who now performs under the name Duncan Jones. The duo has kept that name.

Early career: They each performed separately before getting together about eight years ago in Scottsdale, Ariz. They began making a name for themselves and became known in Las Vegas through corporate gigs.
Las Vegas career:After playing at non-Strip venues such as Green Valley Ranch and Palms, they began performing regularly in April 2006 at another non-Strip venue, the Rocks Lounge at Red Rock Resort. On March 6, 2009, they began performing at Palms Lounge on Fridays and Saturdays and in September, they moved to the Strip, performing at the Monte Carlo.

Over the past three years in Las Vegas, Zowie Bowie has performed a good lounge show at places like Red Rock Resort and the Palms. They're in a showroom now, and it's a significant change.

In mid-afternoon, Zowie Bowie appeared at Monte Carlo to announce an extended residency at the hotel. Hours later, they learned they were being sued by Marley Taylor's ex-boyfriend.
