Remember the 1995 film “Casino” with Robert De Niro, Sharon Stone and Joe Pesci? It was a fact-based dramatization of an era when organized crime controlled many of the Strip casinos. The Frank Vincent character was based on enforcer Tony Spilotro’s street lieutenant.

The title of the new exhibit of the legendary pianist’s personal and professional artifacts at the Cosmopolitan fits the Liberace image ideally. “Too Much of a Good Thing Is Wonderful: Liberace and the Art of Costume” opens at 3 p.m. Nov. 25 and runs through Jan. 2.

More than 150 people jammed a courtroom in the Mob Museum to hear former Govs. Bob List, Richard Bryan and Bob Miller recollect about Las Vegas' history. The presentation was part of the Mob Museum’s Courtroom Conversation series. The event was punctuated by a book signing by Miller, whose “Son of a Gambling Man” went on sale earlier this month.
