MGM Resorts chiefs have finally confirmed rumors reported here in August that they had discussions about an NHL team coming to their new $375 million arena, park and entertainment district under construction behind New York-New York and Monte Carlo.

Tickets for the “toughest sport on dirt” are on sale now for next year’s 22nd consecutive PBR World Finals, from Oct. 21-25. The Top 35 bull riders in the world will fight the angry, stomping and snorting animals to compete for a $2.2 million purse.
